What is the shelf life of your chocolates?
My chocolates should be consumed within 4-6 weeks due to the nature of the fresh cream and fruit used in the fillings.
The chocoate bars have a shelf life of up to 6 months, sometimes less if they have inclusions.
You can find ingredients lables on the back of all my chocolate products.
My chocolates are always made freshly, to ensure our customers can consume them at their optimum standard.
How should I store my chocolates?
It’s best to avoid placing chocolates inside the fridge, unless it is particularly hot & sunny weather. The cold temperature, moisture and condensation can react with the surface of the chocolate and cause the chocolate to bloom, which is a white or grey coating on the surface which is caused by sugar crystals migrating to the surface and loosing it’s shiny finish.
Room temperature is the best way to consume chocolate as it allows the flavours to fully develop and the textures to be at their optimum smoothness.
I advise you to place your chocolates in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, heat source, moisture and strong odours.
You will find a menu card inside the box with the ingredients and best before dates labeled on the base of the box.
Can I return my order?
Unfortunately, due to the perishable nature of the products, I am unable to accept returns on all orders.
We always ensure our products are well wrapped, secure and cushioned in their packaging where applicable. If your chocolates arrived damaged, please send me an email including a photo to hello@linnylane.co.uk and I will be more than happy to assist you.
Do you cater vegan, gluten-free or other free-from chocolates?
Yes! Some of my chocolates and bonbons are vegan, while most of them are gluten-free. Please ask me for more details of what I have in stock.
